about
Written in 2011, This is the song written directly from some of my friends and my depression experiences. it also has a reference to the room that i felt was the only safe place left, but also at some times also feeling trapped in that room.
not much to explain really, I tried to make the music as passionate as the lyrics, and this is the song that i worked on the hardest, i recorded it 4 or 5 times to get it right.
lyrics
V1
Calling out to see what it's like when you're free from the burn so deep
Calling out to see if there's anyone who hears you, but you don't hear a thing
silence shows what no one knows to you when you're alone
and distance makes the hurt fade, along with the beauty in your face.
Chorus
It numbs you til you barely breathe, locked away from the people that hurt me.
V2
Calling out once more to see the hurt you can't ignore, it makes you wish you were invincible.
You drop to your knees, bloodied from bad sleep with dreams of the war ever present.
silence shows what no one knows to you when you're alone
and distance makes the hurt fade, along with the beauty in your face.
Chorus
It numbs you til you barely breathe, locked away from the people that hurt me.
Bridge
There is a part of you, and you hate it oh so much, but maybe in another day, in another life, you'd see it as perfection. Don't you walk away, Don't leave it all on the ground, your past will make you strong, build a home from your ashes and move on.
